68-A Inspections

Hays County Auto Crime Enforcement conducts 68-A vehicle inspections for citizens within our three-county area of coverage.

An Auto Theft Investigator is the only person who can conduct these inspections. You will need to bring your photo ID and the vehicle’s title.

If you have a homemade trailer or a vehicle that is not titled, you will need to bring written proof of manufacture, bill of sale, and any other documentation you must substantiate its manufacture or ownership. If your vehicle was a gift or inheritance, please bring any related documentation.

In the event of inclement weather as well as any observed county holidays, the 68-A vehicle inspections for that day will be cancelled.

For HAYS COUNTY, you can submit the form below to schedule your appointment for a 68-A vehicle inspection.
