Natural Resources

Introduction

Hays County strives to be a responsible steward of its unique and sensitive natural resources. Our efforts are focused on balancing the region's economic growth while protecting the environment in tandem. Hays County actively collaborates and partners with diverse stakeholders to achieve these local and regional goals. Many projects and initiatives involve preserving and conserving beautiful landscapes, wildlife habitats, pristine streams and rivers, spring flow, aquifer recharge, water quality, and historical and cultural sites.
