Dr. Michelle Cohen serves the people of Hays County as the commissioner of Precinct 2 which runs along the I-35 corridor from East Buda to Kyle and includes downtown Kyle. Precinct 2 is the smallest geographically but very dense in housing and business.

Mission
The missionof our office is to be accessible to serve the public with honesty and integrity, to help provide essential services through an efficient and effective use of the country's resources and to be accountable to citizens of our country.
Goals
- Support the implementation of new subdivision rules to protect our natural resources
- To expand the purchase, cost-share, and implementation of open space and park facilities, emphasizing the east side of I-35
- Work with other entities to continue to provide for the increasing need for health care services
- Work with our road engineer to implement measures to provide safer, longer-lasting roadways
- Work with our cities and other entities to encourage clean economic development that creates good-paying jobs
- Support law enforcement to provide the safety and services our growing county requires
Transportation
We continue to work closely with Transportation on ongoing projects and to identify opportunities for funding. Over the year, we have conducted speed studies for safety concerns, added 3-4 way stop signs and created a no dumping zone in one area of concern.
