Jail Docket

The Hays County Courts at Law hold jail docket every Thursday at 1:30PM via Zoom.

Inmates are no longer transported to the Government Center unless a request is made and approved by a Judge. Any attorney who needs an in-person hearing, please contact the Court to arrange transportation of your client.

The County Court at Law staff will notify attorneys of a client's upcoming setting beginning the Friday prior to the following Thursday's docket.  Failure to respond may result in the client's case being reset. Attorneys with clients that are in custody should reach out to the District Attorney's Office in regard to any plea paperwork that would need to be executed prior to jail docket.

Defense attorneys who have clients that will require an interpreter for any court proceedings should notify the County Court at Law staff as soon as possible. Failure to notify court staff in a timely manner may result in the client's case being reset.
