Public Hearing Notice: Elected Officials Salaries

In accordance with section 152.013 of the Texas Local Government Code, the Commissioners' Court of Hays County is publishing the following increases in salaries & allowances for elected officials. These increases are proposed as part of the new fiscal year budget which would begin October 1, 2024. A public hearing and expected vote on the budget are scheduled for September 17, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Commissioners' Courtroom of the Hays County Courthouse.
In Fiscal Year 2024, the Commissioner's Court adopted a tiered salary approach based on terms for Elected Officials. Initial salaries for term 1 are based on a market study completed in 2023. Salary increases are effective January 1, 2025.
